Twitter Hunter - Review
A reader suggested a rather interesting Windows Phone game the other day, Twitter Hunter. Information technology is a Windows Phone 7 game that pits you confronting a rather disruptive flock of birds.
The game is fast paced in that you are presented with a scene (power lines, tree limbs, wearing apparel lines, etc.) where the pesky birds volition announced. A countdown timer is displayed on each bird and when it reaches zero, the screen shakes, you loose a life and the bird flies off.
Your chore is but, nail them off the screen past borer on them before the timer reaches nada. The quicker y'all take out the birds, the more points yous earn.
More than after the break.
Blast 'em
To assist you deal with the birds, you lot are armed with a virtual shotgun that has a four shot chapters. Once yous empty your shotgun, you reload by shaking your Windows Phone. At that place are bonus items available that will increase your shotgun'southward capacity or temporarily supersede information technology with a machine gun.
Twitter Hunter is a fun, challenging game. Information technology's difficult enough to hold the telephone and tap all over the screen but add having to milk shake the phone every iv taps to reload (as well every bit remembering to reload), information technology can exist a little nerve racking. I would have preferred some other means to reload your shotgun because the shaking of the telephone can become a niggling frustrating and takes away from the game.
Graphics are dainty but they demand to be animated. The cartoon stills of the birds offer a wide range of expressions just really need to come to life. I would take liked to have seen the birds wing in and off the screen than simply fade in/out. Fifty-fifty if they merely popped up like a funfair game would take been amend. Stability wise, Twitter Hunter ran smoothly with no crashes, bugs or glitches experienced.
Overall Impression
Overall, Twitter Hunter is a decent game for your Windows Telephone. Information technology will definitely test your speed and multi-tasking abilities. Personally, I think the game needs a fiddling more blitheness and a tad slower stride. It moves so fast that at times it felt every bit if the game was over earlier it began. It's a middle of the route game so I'd take full advantage of the trial version to give it a test bulldoze.
The full version will run yous $.99 and y'all can discover Twitter Hunter hither (opens Zune) at the Marketplace.
Update: Twitter Hunter has been updated recently to add together a few more than bonus weapons, a touch more blitheness and some under the hood operation enhancements. With the update, Twitter Hunter is moving in the right direction. I'd yet have reward of the trial version outset.
